MURATA MACHINERY EUROPE GmbH,Murata Machinery Ltd.’s European subsidiary headquartered in Willich, Germany, has opened a new training center in Dresden, one of Europe’s leading semiconductor hubs. The center is dedicated to training personnel involved in the installation and maintenance of semiconductor material handling systems.

The training center is located within a newly established sales and service facility. It serves Murata Machinery employees, partner companies, and customers’ maintenance personnel, providing hands-on technical training in a realistic operating environment.
The facility is equipped with full-scale semiconductor material handling systems, including an Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) system, stockers, and Vertical Conveyor. Using these systems, trainees can learn practical installation procedures, maintenance techniques, troubleshooting methods, and operational best practices. The center is expected to accelerate the onboarding and capability development of local installation and commissioning personnel and field service engineers, enhance their technical expertise, support the rapid execution of projects, and strengthen customers’ maintenance capabilities.

Murata Machinery’s Clean FA business, which provides automated material handling systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, operates training centers in Europe as well as in several locations worldwide, including Arizona (USA), Tainan (Taiwan), Shanghai (China), and Yokkaichi (Japan). By strengthening collaboration among these facilities and standardizing training curricula, the company aims to provide consistent, high-quality customer support on a global scale.
